KIDS SPOT TUMBLERS RAISE FUNDS FOR ST. JUDE HOSPITAL!

Four athletes from Kids SPOT won 1st Place medals in Trampoline at the “Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer” St. Jude Benefit Meet January 19th & 20th in Peoria, IL. 1st Place athletes were:

  • Payton Stamen, age 9 (Roscoe);

  • Christian O’Brien, age 10 (Roscoe);

  • Alec Steinhagen, age 11 (Roscoe); and

  • Michael Klemm, age 11 (South Beloit).

All four of these athletes are coached by Dwight Hollins, Kids SPOT’s Elite/Advanced Tumbling Coach.

In all, twenty-three athletes from Kids SPOT competed at the meet in tumbling and trampoline events. Participants and sponsors raised money to help support treatment and research, seeking cures for pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. “Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer” is one of the top gymnastic and tumbling events in the Midwest.

KIDS SPOT CHEER WINS BIG AT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT!

Kids SPOT Cheer’s four competitive all-star cheer teams traveled to Michigan in January to test their skills against the nation’s best. The opportunity to participate in the Cereal City National Championship competition in Battle Creek, Michigan was earned by placing at the top of their divisions in regional competitions.

All teams competed twice at the two-day championship, and scores were tallied over both days’ performances. Kids SPOT Cheer team results were as follows:
Tiny Level 1 (ages 4 & 5) - Second Place;
Youth Level 1 (ages 11 & under) - Second Place;
Youth Level 2 (ages 11 & under) - Second Place; and
Junior Co-Ed Level 4 (ages 14 & under) WON THEIR DIVISION EARNING THEMSELVES A NATIONAL CHAMPION TITLE!
 

Coming off this success, Kids SPOT Cheer has already begun preparations for their remaining national championship competitions. Future destinations include Indianapolis, St. Charles, and the Wisconsin Dells. The teams look forward to seizing additional championship titles before this season is over.

Kids SPOT Cheer program began competing in 2005, offering boys and girls the opportunity to experience all-star cheerleading at a competitive level. This program boasts skill development for both physical fitness and success in all areas of life.
